Accomplished physicist Sir Claud Amory has constructed a workable formula for one of the most deadly weapons known to man: the atom bomb. After the formula is mysteriously stolen and Sir Claud is callously murdered, Hercule Poirot arrives to solve the mystery with the help of Captain Hastings and Inspector Japp. But who did it? Is it the overlooked son and his new bride? Sir Claud’s sister who is stuck in the old ways? The free-spirited cousin of the family? The Italian foreigner who randomly shows up for dinner? The knowledgeable secretary/assistant to Sir Claud? Or, is it the obedient butler?
