By Arthur Miller
The Albright kicks off our season with a tribute to one
of the greatest playwrights of our time. We are celebrating
Arthur Miller’s life with a production of his poignant
look at the power of governmental coercion. In the Crucible,
John Proctor is living a quiet, simple Puritan life in Salem,
Massachusetts until his wife is accused of witchcraft. Does
he have the strength to stand up for her or does he give in
to the pressures of his church, his community and their laws?
