“The Philadelphia Story” was made famous by the star
performance of Katharine Hepburn as Tracy Lord, a spoiled young
socialite about to take her second trip down the aisle. On the eve
of her nuptials to an up-and-coming “man of the people,”
she must deal with the intrusion of her upper crust ex-husband,
her philandering father and a pair of undercover reporters from
a gossip magazine. Amid the chaos and comic plot twists, Tracy suddenly
finds herself trying to choose between three different men.
